Some how this cute dresser never made it up on my site. I sold it a while ago. When I first found this dresser it was painted in all black! I had my work cute out for me, but it turned out to be this great cute Paris dresser! 

I lined the inside of the dressers.

I also added Paris knobs and a Paris ink word print on top. It turned out great!

Media Cabinet {Jan. 2014}

Found this really cute media cabinet recently! When I saw it I could just imagine what I wanted done with it and was excited to get to work! Both doors had the glass missing and one of the doors was nonfunctional. It would not close properly, but that was not going to stop me from turning it into a beauty!  

I painted it with Annie Sloan's Country Gray! I LOVE that stuff! Sanding and everything is soooooo much easier! The first thing that had to happen was the doors...those things had to go! Once I was done painting I lightly distressed the front areas.

For my finish I used dark and clear wax. I added baskets to the shelves and I love it! Just how I had imagined it!

I am having a hard time letting this one go!!! 

Antique Shabby Dresser

I purchased this cute antique dresser at a garage sale. I was SO excited to get working on it!

There was this ugly green around the drawer and edges. I stripped it down with some paint stripper. 

I also had to sand all the globs of glossy finish that the previous owners had put on. You can see all over my garage floor that I put my blood, sweat and tears into this!

There was a crack on the top surface of the dresser. I filled it with some wood filler and it fixed and covered it up well! I was very pleased with it. I also had to touch up with some wood glue on certain parts of the dresser.

This is the final result! I just am so in love with it! To be honest I am having a hard time wanting to give this one up!

I purchased some square glass knobs for the hardware. There was missing hardware on the original dresser.

I just LOVE LOVE the original wooden wheels on antique dressers! So adorable!

I added this really cute black and white print contact paper to line the drawers with. It really  gave a clean finish!

I painted a black chalk paint for the first coat of paint. I then painted 2 coats of white {summer grey} chalk paint for the finished look. When I distressed the dresser it made the black paint show through. I finished with a clear wax on the exterior and a poly finish on the interior to help the drawers be protected while being used constantly. I am so happy and pleased with this dresser. I am in love with it! I hope you all are too!

Garage Sale Headboard & Dresser

This is Levi's new headboard I painted. I posted this picture recently and thought I would again now that I have his dresser done too!

Wall Decor & Guest Room Dresser

Bear with me as you are reading and looking at this post. I posted way more pictures than usual because there are 2 things that I was dealing with. You'll see...

First off I got this at a garage sale for $3 bucks several weeks ago. What is it right? It's junk! Noooo, really it's an old kitchen cabinet glass door! Probably wondering what in the world would I do with that and why I would ever buy it!?

I painted it a shade of white, distressed and finished it with a wax!

There were holes from where the old hardware was so I played it up a little and added hardware back onto those areas.

I then hung a curtain rod....

and from the curtain rod I hung a wreath! It's GORGEOUS, but there's more to it!

We bought this IKEA dresser to use as a changing table for Kai. I knew it was a little girly and he wasn't going to keep it forever.....so this is now going to be the guest room dresser!

I painted it a "Lisa Packard" paint color....which means I mixed my own colors to get this blue I was wanting in my very own garage! Who needs Home Depot? I then glazed {as you can see in the pic} the whole dresser to give it that antique look! 

Added some flare to my dresser top!

I kept the original hardware for  2 reasons. One I just liked it and two the hardware was a little different since it was made by IKEA so I knew it would be hard to find something to replace it.

I like to glaze on a piece like this. It really gets down in the nooks of my dresser....
